So Today I just blocked in the lights and darks. I tried to not get caught up with any details  and to focus on blocks of color and composition. The  canvas was wet ...this is a great opportunity to wipe away the lights and keep it fresh. It was a whirwinded day and the movement of this painting reflects this.MG

"I Shut my eyes in order to see"... Gauguin.

I love this Quote by Gauguin who was a post impressionist painter Eugène Henri Paul Gauguinborn in 1848. He was a bold experimeter of color. Many of his works were done in Tahiti. He was a friend of Vincent Van Gogh.
The more I shut my eyes and listen to my still voice the more I realize that I have the answers to so many of my daily questions. The solution does not lie somewhere else.-MG
